Well ordered the CSi3 to go with my RTi8s
Ordered CSi3 today, i wanted to CSi5, but since no one had it, and i really didnt feel like looking deep for it and none of the local stores.....well you get the picture, and for $150 the CSi3 was a great deal....so anything i should know that may suprise me for good or bad with the CSi3, im sure its a MAJOR upgrade from my current Yamaha HTIB center, i know the RTi8s were....Anyway..any insight that i may want to know about this speaker....

Well, if you picked it up for less than $150, it's great....

I just got the csi3 (I paid 100$, used) to go with my rti10 because did not find the csi5 at a descent price. I really like the csi3. The guy from who I bought it had also the csi5 and was able to do a side by side comparison. He told me that the difference was subtle. Of course, he wanted to sell his csi3! Anyway, I really enjoy my csi3 and it blends perfectly with my 10s.

CSi3 is already big....I don't think you will notice much difference....BTW i also love my CSi3....Video: LG 55LN5100/Samsung LNT4065F

Has anyone ever compared say, CSi A4 or A6 to their predecessors CSi3 and 5?
I found a CSi A6 for $50 more than a CSi3 so I snatched it up. Delivered to my door for a hair over $200. Nothing else is here yet, but it'll have RTi8's up front with it with an Onkyo TX-SR805 pushing it.
I'm almost worried it'll be overkill but if it's really functionally the same as a CSi5 I should be OK. I hope it's incredible so my wife won't start asking how much I'm spending on all of this.
Oh ya, FXi3's will go in the rear and if I decide to go ahead and go 7.1 right off the bat, I'll likely use another set of FXi3's if I can get a set from Polk for cheap as they clear them out.- Onkyo TX-SR805

Man I just love all the excitement in this thread. You guys enjoy!!!

Are there any good alternatives to the CSi3 that are cheaper (aka no CSi 5 )? I need a black one to go with my RTi 6's, but they're either gone or way too expensive...

I got a CSi5 in a clearance at the local tweeter last week. You can check their website and find out if they have any at your local store.

I checked my local tweeter and they only have a cherry one..uggg...but they want 266.99 for it anyway...if it was black I would be tempted. Don't know if it would make a huge difference over my csi3??? I paid 142.00 for mine, twice the price for the 5 but do it mean twice the performance???Retired Onkyo 520 (returned broken HK 247)
