Carver stuff on Klipsch Heresy's

I'm going to be interested to see what one of my Carver setups sounds like on the Klipsch Heresy's I use in my office. I should be receiving the TFM-55's from treitz3 (woo hoo! Thanks Tom) on Friday so I'm going to do some gear swapping. I had put my Carver C-1 preamp and M-1.0t in the living room on the SRS II's which has been all that I've ever run them. This weekend, I'm going to move the Carver CT-17 preamp, TL-3300 CD player and the (new to me) TFM-55 in the living room and hook them up to the Polk's. In return, the C-1 and M-1.0t will be back in the office rack again.
Fore the last month or so, I've had the McIntosh 1900 receiver (55wpc) running the Heresy's and they make a really good combo to say the least. I am curious to see what almost 4X the power and a different electrical and "sonic" setup sounds like on them. Before the Mac was hooked up to them, I had the CT-17 preamp tied into a Magnavox EL84 console tube amp I rebuilt with new connections, orange drop caps, etc on them and they sounded outstanding. I would imagine it's good for about 13wpc or so. Kind of fun though and that's what this little hobby of ours is all about. Finding that synergy between gear and enjoying the music along the way. It's not too bad for an office system, anyway. I don't even want to say what I have in the Mac receiver and the Heresy's...it would be a sin to say (be quiet Tom).
I'll report back on the thread late in the weekend if I get a chance to make the big swaps on everything. Anyone else ever run Carver on Klipsch speakers?

When I had Klipschorns,I tried an Adcom 555 and the a TFM 45,the carver was easier on the ears, but being such efficient monsters, they sounded best with tube amps, which really did not require alot of power to drive them. Finally sold them due to size and zero WAF.JC approves....he told me so. Carver should give your speaker a fuller sound with better dynamics.

I love how music can brighten up a bad day. -
I wouldn't be optimistic.

Yeah, it'll be fun for trying out but it will be hard pressed to beat the sound that the Mac or the little tube amp has with them. They mesh really well.Richard? Who's your favorite Little Rascal? Alfalfa? Or is it........................Spanky?.................................Sinner.
