I don't still have my 50's, but they are a very nice sounding speaker. Not as full and robust as the LS-90's, but they are half the size and have half the drivers, too. They are what most people would term as a warmer sounding speaker. I did not like the vinyl covering, the 70s and 90s are real wood veneer. -
I had a pair for about 15 years and, overall, they were good speakers. A little weak on bass and not as clear and rich sounding as the LSi9's that replaced them.....but still, a nice speaker.B&W 804s mains

There are some for sale on local craigslist (Dallas) for $175, I think. They look pretty nice. Russman has some experience with their bigger brothers, either the 70s, 90s or maybe both.
I think if you can get a pair for a couple hundred bucks in good condition, I think they'd be a very good snag.Stereo Rig: Hales Revelation 3, Musical Fidelity CD-Pre 24, Forte Model 3 amp, Lexicon RT-10 SACD, MMF-5 w/speedbox, Forte Model 2 Phono Pre, Cardas Crosslink, APC H15, URC MX-950, Lovan Stand

Cool thanks for the info. My only hangup would be the vinyl. I love real wood finish infact since i bought those paradigm mini monitors. Well they would be my last vinyl wrapped speaker lol.Chicomorales:)
