Not sure who to vote for?

Go take the quiz....

http://glassbooth.org/

It's your civil duty to vote (and to do jury duty).

BTW, you don't have to tell everyone here who you're voting for. The quiz is just for yourself.

Hell no it isn't. If you don't know why you're voting, stay the hell out of the voting booth.

    Jury Duty sucks.

I've been called 11 times in 12 years.

Of all the sites of that ilk I think I like that one the best. Well organized, concise, easy to use.

Also, despite having been eligible for 9 years now, I've never been called for Jury Duty. Makes me think I missed a summons or two and am going to be arrested one of these days.
If you will it, dude, it is no dream.

Yep, whoever gets the Kyoto agreement signed... ;)

Who is Gravel? He got #1 place, followed by Obama and Clinton. Judging by his comments though, he's not a realistic.

I ended up with 69%, 63%, 60%. The two candidates are at the two ends of the spectrum, and NADER is in the middle. Does that make him a centrist?!

    Huh?

Even with our economy in the doldrums right now, we're still head and shoulders above the Chi-Coms in every conceivable quality of life way other than forced abortions, poverty and the occasional slaughter of unarmed college student protesters. In those areas, they are outpacing us.

And its capitalism that is making things better over there. With us sending our mindless assembly jobs over there, more people are working and more people are earning and spending money which is improving the quality of life......assuming youre not shot for jay walking.

As for who to vote for, why bother. Theyre both pretty horrible. Both are liberals and both could easily cripple this country. Obama with his high taxes and appeasement of terrorists or McCain with his devotion to the global warming hoax or amnesty for illegal immigrants or his high taxes. Take youre pick.

No matter who wins - we lose.

I myself wish that we could repeal the twenty-second amendment to the Constitution.
I can only imagine the stature of the United States on the international stage if we could only continue on the same path we've been on for the last 8 years.
And along with the increased respect will surely come a period of ever increasing bounty and prosperity for all Americans.
It's hard to imagine how things could get even better, but .... yes .... I'm sure it would, if only we could have just 8 more years along the same path so that we all could join hands, look triumphantly at the sky, and say, "Mission Accomplished !".

If only ... that darn 22nd Amendment .... but wait !! In times of national emergency we could .... dare we ? ..... Yes, we dare !!! ... why didn't I think of this earlier ?

"Excecutive Orders " ! Of course ! It's worked before, why not again ?
After all, the Constitution is only a piece of paper.

BTW: Beijing's Olympic shutdown begins Sunday, with a drastic plan to lift the Chinese capital's gray shroud of pollution just three weeks ahead of the games.
Half of Beijing's 3.3 million vehicles will be pulled off the roads and many polluting factories will be shuttered. Chemical plants, power stations and foundries left open have to cut emissions by 30 percent — and dust-spewing construction in the capital will be halted.

"Pea-soup air at the opening ceremony would be their worst nightmare," said Victor Cha, director of Asian Studies at Georgetown University.

Actually, they're becoming a rather capitalistic society and we're going the other direction. Not to mention they don't have all of the ridiculous regulation on business we have here. Thanks for playing.

    You're welcome. :)

In an earlier post you essentially claimed Communism is a better system than Capitalism. I simply pointed out that China is becoming a Capitalistic society, and has been for some time. Meanwhile, we're going the opposite direction, with gross restrictions on private entities that drive businesses and jobs to countries like China.

Is you're point that we'd have the same problems with pollution if we scaled back on our regulations here?

#1 - There are 1.32 billion people living over 3.7 million square miles in China. The population of the United States is 301 Million people living over 3.79 million square miles. Not much different in size, but extremely different in population.

#2 - Regulations in this country go far and beyond waste disposal, which has sent a great deal of jobs and wealth to countries such as China.

What's also a real joke is that the United States is expected to commit to all of this Global Warming horse **** while countries like China aren't expected to participate. Mostly because their government is smart enough to give the finger to phonies like Al Gore.

Again, when Communists love our candidates for President it's a scary time in American history. The good thing is that if it goes that way I have a good feeling it won't last long anyways....
