I was checking out Craigs List Sat. morning and came across an add that had "Polk Audio Speakers For Sale" $650.
The curious bug in me send an e-mail to see what was up...Guy said he had a pair of RT800i's a pair of RT35i's,a CS400i center,a 350 sub and an Onkyo AVR.
Asked if the price firm,he says "Come and make me offer"
I make the trip,see that all of the speakers are in near mint condition,with the exception of one of the 35's has a small ding in one of the corners.
I offered him $300. cash...and he didn't blink an eye,I loaded em' up,brought em' home.
I have hooked everything up and they sound AWESOME..I'm not sure what I'm going to do with them,but I just couldn't turn down a deal like this:D

Nice! What area was the seller in? I check the Kansas City craigslist every once in a while, and didn't run across this listing.
Oh, and tell your son that he is lucky to have such a cool dad to get him such a nice setup.

wow, nice score mike! I had a roommate a while back who had the 800's and I always enjoyed them. Which receiver did you get? That's HTiB pricing and you got a reeeeaaaalllly nice polk setup. Jealousy!Never kick a fresh **** on a hot day.
Home Setup: Sony VPL-VW85 Projo, 92" Stewart Firehawk, Pioneer Elite SC-65, PS3, RTi12 fronts, CSi5, FXi6 rears, RTi6 surround backs, RTi4 height, MFW-15 Subwoofer.
Car Setup: OEM Radio, RF 360.2v2, Polk SR6500 quad amped off 4 Xtant 1.1 100w mono amps, Xtant 6.1 to run an eD 13av.2, all Stinger wiring and Raammat deadener. -

Liberty..When I returned home,I went back and checked the add again,and he had already removed the listing..Guess he didn't want anymore replys.
Chases room is not going to work out,he's got too much stuff in there...He has a nice 32" flat panel monitor,x-box,wii,and a DVD player...I just picked him up a Harman Kardon 2-channel receiver with a pair of bookselves to kick everything up a notch.
I'm thinking of sticking the Onkyo in there with the RT35is along with the 350 sub and call it good.
The 800's and the 400 might just end up in our main HT rig:D -

The Onkyo is a TX-DS595...I'm sure it's an entry level AVR,,,the guy said he bought everything new from C.C. in 2002 and gave over $2300...hell,he even threw in a Monster sub cable. -
