Well, I made my first trip to the Island this weekend. Our friends got Married in Tofino which is about 4 hours North of Victoria. The Highway to get there is one of the worst roads I've ever been on, but the views you get along the way are amazing and make up for it. The weather was great! It had snowed the morning before we got there and for a few days leading up to it, but was clear blue skies the entire time we were there.

We stayed in a 1400 sqr ft. suite with the Bride and Groom right on the beach with great views.

Here are a few pics from the trip.

On Our way into Tofino, we hit some snow, sun and a rainbow all at the same time:

That is some beautiful country up there. We went to Victoria for our honeymoon now 7 years ago. It was awesome this time of year and we got to see the "other" Niagara Falls. The wife and I have talked about needing to go back up there during the summer. I have been there during the summer but she has not. That's a whole other beauty during that time of year.
I know just enough to be dangerous, but don't tell my wife, she thinks I'm a genius. :D

That's one sweet suite! Can I ask where you stayed? Always good to have a place like that cocked and loaded when I need to apologize for something. :)

We stayed at the Pacific sands resort in the two bedroom Villas. They were extremely nice, with full size kitchens as well. We definitely want to go back in the summer.

We took Highway 4, it's on the island I'm not sure of the one to Whistler but that isn't it.

Canadian highways suck. I've only driven a few in Washington but they were unbelievably better than what we have here.

Nice pics! That's what it looks like pretty much all year round (when it isn't raining), and is why I love BC.
