2 Pc's and a 360 are on the same network, but I cant see the 360 in My network places. Arent I supposed to? Also, I dont have media center, but I do have WMP 11, can I share files with just WMP 11? But I would still like to know why I can see the second pc but not the 360 on the network, to share files and such.

I believe I used Zune to connect my PC to my Xbox."He who fights with monsters should look to it that he himself does not become a monster. And when you gaze long into an abyss the abyss also gazes into you." Friedrich Nietzsche

You can't share files, but you can play the files on the PC through the xbox. Xbox will not appear on your network places either. Play around in the xbox menu's under media > music. Somewhere in there it gives you a website to go to that will instruct you on how to discover your wmp 11 machine and share the media on it.
edit: Go here for instructions:

I did that..Thanks Be. I just didnt know if it was going to show up in my network like the other pc does. I read you have to manually share the media on the 360, I hope that works. But I could swear I read somehwere that you can access your 360 files over the network. Read (view) saved games and pics and music.Monitor 7b's front

If you are looking to physically put files on to your xbox from the pc, no can do. You can only rip directly off of CD.
My sister was looking to try to back her saved games on to the pc and apparently there is no way to do that either. Xbox limits what you can do with file sharing. -
I have the linksys wireless gs, but the 360 is connected wired. I did just that, shared in WMP, but it doesnt show the 360.
I'll play around with it tomorrow.Monitor 7b's front

Damn microsoft. Supposed to be pc compatable, yeah right. 2 things compatable is not concidered compatabe. Hell a Mac and a PC or more compatable.
In my Linksys screen, yes I see it, but in MY Network Places, I thought I could at least see it as a device or a drive, but appearently I cant.Monitor 7b's front

That's Microsoft for ya! lol. There will probably be a 300 dollar adapter that lets the xbox act as a network hard drive in the future.
I created some playlists on the computer and saved them. The xbox can use the same playlists you saved. I play them in the background on the xbox while playing COD4. Don't try to make playlists through the xbox as it takes a rediculously long time.
