db212-2 what amp?

Hey everyone I just bought the db212-2 but this is my first system and I need 2 kno what type of amp and how much power I'm gonna need 2 push them 2 their full potential but I only have about 450 2 spend on an amp so anyone who can help I would be very greatful Thanxxx!!!!!

    so wat would b the next step up as far as amps if i wanted something better? and wat things should i look 4 in an amp when im lookn 2 buy one?:confused:

    theres no reason that alpine wouldnt work great, id get nicer subs before a nicer amp

    :confused:thanx 4 all tha advice so far and i was gonna get that amp u recomended but my bestfriend said that he would sell me his MTX TA81001 - MTX Audio Thunder Class D 1500 Watt Mono Amplifer for $200 and i couldn't help but take a look at it and do a little research and it looks like that might be a better deal to me but wat do i kno rite. lol anyway jus wanted 2 kno if someone could help me out with this cuz im torn between tha 2 ThanX:confused:

    That's probably a pretty stout amp. Don't know what they normally retail at (a little "Google" should tell you pretty quick), but it's probably an OK deal if it was lightly used and still works fine.



    Keep in mind you'll want to consider if the MTX's 2 ohm RMS power rating is enough to cook voice coils on your subs.

    According to specs listed here, you'll get 1000 watts @ 2 ohms, which is more than enough to damage your db212-2 if you don't set the gains very conservatively or if you get on the volume knob too aggressively. You'll want to use the subsonic filter feature too.
