Wiring Hookup for Sub

I'm stumped. I'm trying to get a subwoofer & 2 small bookshelf speakers hooked up & working. I'm using a receiver with 8 red & black plugs for speaker connections. The sub has 4 red & 4 black connections on the back. I wired the sub to the receiver & the bookshelf speakers to the sub. No sound. Does anyone know how i'd hook these up? :confused:

    Welcome to the forum.
    On the back of the rcvr., the red/ blk binding posts pairs should be labeled R, L, C, SR, SL, SBR, SBL, SUB. You connect the bookshelves to the R & L posts, then connect the sub to the SUB posts.
    NOTE: Make sure to mark each end of the peaker wire which is +/ -, and connect them accordingly.
