Need: 12v switched AC power strip

Hi-
I need to find an inexpensive 12v switched 120v AC power strip to run some fans for my equipment. I searched and the only 3 that came up were the Monster(eeek!!) HTFS 500, the Panamax M8-HT Pro, and the Niles AC-3. The first 2 units include power protection, which I don't need, and all 3 cost over $100, which is more than the fans.

I think that someone posted about a year ago the exact unit that I'm looking for, but I can't seem to find it. Can anyone help?

    If just fan's I can't see why you can't use an AC power strip in the AVR switch outlet. The outlet switch output can power up around 100 watts.

    I guess I need to clarify what I want to do. I have a Denon 4308 receiver that I use as a prepro with an EMO MPS-1 amp. I want to use the two 12v assignable triggers on the 4308 to switch on the fans for additional cooling depending on the input source. This will allow the fans to remain off if I want to listen to HD Radio or phono, SACD, etc. I can then set the two triggers seperately to provide cooling when playing the HT or the PS3.

    Any of the units that I found in my first post will work, but I'm such a cheap asshat that I wanted to keep the cost around $50.

    Buy 12v fans, and run them right from the trigger. I have one hooked up this way.

    O.K.- you guys have made me re-think this whole deal. Although I can' t plug the four Scythe S-Flex 12v fans directly into the Denon's triggers because they draw 100MA each and the triggers total only 150MA max, I can plug one of the fans 120v-12v xmfr's into the switched outlets. This will let me use the output to switch the amp,2 fans, the sub, 2 power conditioners, and leave the two 12v triggers free for switching the 2 other fans.

    I still want to search for a cheap switched power strip, but I can make this work with the Niles AC-3 if I have to.

    I think that the Smart Strips use current drawn through the main recepticle to trigger the switched outlets. I don't believe that I could make it work for my application, but thanks for the link!!
