I'm putting together a HT system and am using RTi4s for my surrounds. I'm having trouble finding speaker stands for the RTi4s that are high enough to get them well above my ear level (looking for 50' or so). My best option right now seems to be the Sanus HF1S, with it's weakness being that it is spec'ed for 10 lbs and the RTi4 weighs a bit more than that. Has anyone tried the combination?

I prefer stands over wall mounting because I will be able to experiment with positioning and because they will hide the speaker wire. In the absence of an appropriate stand what do people do to hide the speaker wire if a wall mount is used?

BTW my system is:

Onkyo TX-SR705 Receiver
RTi8 front speakers
CSi3 center channel
RTi4 surrounds
BIX H100 subwoofer

Welcome to Club Polk! I have a set of 44" (I believe!) Target brand stands that I got from Parts Express. The previously were used for RTi4's and worked great in the rear surrounds. I have LSi7's on them now.

Try the Omni Mount stands at circuit city I'm using them for my FXI 5's they run $49.99 a pair. They also have a great way to hide the speaker wire.
