Signal cable

Well I received my box from Frank. In it was a toslink, digcoax analog II and HDMI.
Start with the HDMI, this was an error I need a DVI-HDMI, the exchange is in the works. But while I have it I tested it out. Excellent build, I compared it to my AQ HDMI3. I watched a movie called Mr Untouchable. The pic quality was outstanding, this was the first time I have seen SD dvd look like HD. ( I have not yet watched a movie using my AQ). Plugged in my AQ and the pic was slightly cleaner then the SC, but for the price difference SC is the winner, it's still going back as I need the DVI-HDMI.
The Toslink, again excellent build. I noticed the volume was not as loud as my AQ toslink. I much prefer the build of the SC over the AQ. The sound of the signal although not as loud, I know it may sound weird (not as loud) but my receiver is set when turned on to -50. The AQ was always louder not as in turning up the volume just louder at -50 then the SC. The SC is smoother cleaner sound. A keeper for sure.
The dig coax is where I noticed a big difference right off the bat. There was much more punch in the bass, I have to get used to it. It's a clean accurate sound as well. Again the build is excellent over the AR pro II, I was using. The SC was the more "loud" cable this time as well. It could be that the sound is less muffled. Another keeper.
Now to my SC analog II, mind you none of the cables are "burned in". This time it is much harder to tell which is better as I removed my copperheads from the hookup, now using my diamondbacks from AVR to amps and SC AII to my CDP. Again build is excellent, I do have a slight issue with the fact there is not way for me to tell that these are indeed analogII if I had some analog I lying around. The sound again is extremely clean and accurate, mids are more noticable but not over the top, treble is there but not annoying abd the bass is just right. I don't know what it is about these, but they make hearing every detail much easier. Keepers for sure.
For the price SC is hands down a winner, you know it's kinda like Polk, yes there is more expensive, but for build and quality why spend the extra $$. I'm now sold on Frank's quality products. This does not mean I will replace all my diamondbacks with analogII. Just that in the future, if I need other cables, it will be hard for me not to order from SC.

Thanks again for all your help, much appreciated.
I will be adding more info to my underqualified review once I have a chance to break them in and fiddle around a bit more. -
I have a few pairs of Analog Two's, they're great cables.
As for digital coax cables, I was surprised to see how different they could sound, even though they're just 1's and 0's."He who fights with monsters should look to it that he himself does not become a monster. Thanks, I was not sure the sleeve was the tell-tale as the sleeve on my digcoax doesn't look like the one on the web site. -
If you purchase Analog II cables as part of a HT package, the sleeves can be any color."He who fights with monsters should look to it that he himself does not become a monster. And when you gaze long into an abyss the abyss also gazes into you." Friedrich Nietzsche

that's it. All my cables are for sale 1$ each, I am going to remove the plastic off twist ties and use the metal strand. -
Received my DVI-HDMI cable today. I was using a Belkin cable. The Belkin was a well built cable and provided a good picture. Connectors were also very good. Hooked up the SC, the connectors, gold plated heafty and excellent. The picture although the cable has about 45mins on it provided a much cleaner pic. It looks like the people on PBS are right in front of me. Yes the Belkin did do that as well but not at the level of accuracy and quality the SC does. I can't wait to watch Lost tonight in HD.
