You answered your own question. Put them where they sound the best.

You'll probably need to experiment a lot with placement and toe-in options to determine this. An inch or two can make a huge difference.

Got any pics of your setup and room?

Experiment with placement. Put them where they sound the best for you.

Those big speakers are a pain in the neck to move around. But that's just a one time thing. After you found the right spot, you can just leave them there.

If you are using RTi12s for 2 channel, I want to suggest that you make sure you have a powerful two channel amp or integrated amplifier. Those beasts need power, and lots of it. I am not sure how you are using a 5 channel amp for 2 channel? What are the specs on the sunfire? Also, you sure you need a sunfire sub with that? I mean... if you feed the RTi12s what they need, you are going to get plenty of bass, more than enough to qualify them as full range speakers. The extra sub just complicates things even more than they are now.

That should be plenty of power.

Maybe, maybe not. Better than powering them with a receiver.

At least I am not the only one that is wondering what this is going to sound like as a music system. RTi can be pretty bright... but if you have the right equipment, The TGA III, is that a pre/pro? All that sunfire stuff, RTi, I just don't know. Plenty of power, if you can, if that is a digital pre/pro, adjust the EQ just a tad to brush some of the sizzly treble off the top end. I don't know what kind of settings it has, but maybe it has some kind of adjustable notch you can put at the very top.

they sounded fine with my home theater for music so now I ordered the RTI8 from fry's and going to use the sunfire stuff for the 2 channel with the 12's if it doesn't work well then will get other speakers and sell these

I think it will work. I really think the 12s could be good for music if you have the right amplification. RTi always imaged well, and the 12s are full range, so you shouldn't need a sub if you can get enough power to them. Actually, it might work out great, because subs are best left for HT, though I am sure some people aren't going to agree with that, but I think full range speakers are better than trying to integrate an extra bass driver in some asymmetrical spot in the room.

The 8s might even be better for your HT, since there, you can have a sub, and it might be easier for your HT system to drive, while providing for a better crossover point for the LFE stuff.

thatsa gonna make the 12's SING!! might not be the most subtle or laid back, but that thing will rock the house down! I'd be very intrigues to get ears on that system, whats gonna be your source for 2 channel?

biamping is a great way to fly for power hungry speakers in my experience

I would recommend some warm sounding cables such as Signal's Analog Two interconnects.

Are those cables really actually warm sounding? I am interested. The warmest cables I have are wireworld something or others... Warm is relative. Sorry to derail, but if they were actually warm, like... sweet sounding even on hyper-detailed systems, I would be very interested.

They are warm without muting the details. If you don't like them, Frank has a 30 day return policy.
