What would you pay for Rti8 Cherry Speakers

A guy around me is selling these floor speakers I see that they go for 150 each on Frys.com what do you think is a fair offer to him ?

    If they are in perfect condition paying 300.00 for the pair would be fair as well.How much did they cost when they first came out?

    If he's gonna pay $300 then might as well pay shipping from fry's and get brand new speakers with brand new five year warranties ...

    I'd say $150-$225 would be worth a shot. Maybe it depends somewhat on if it's "a guy" or "a guy you know, have known for a while, and are fairly sure he's not trying to rip you off"

    Be sure to listen to them. Turn them up. Be sure they work. Listen for blown drivers. Turn them down a little and listen to the drivers. Both mid-woofers on each side playing? Sound out of both tweeters?

    If you can't listen to them before hand, and/or you don't know "the guy" well, be wary.

    Paid 250 for my used Rti8's. No boxes or warranty. Had to replace one tweeter. $35.00 for the tweeter. I would listen to them if you can. Good Luck! love mine. :)
