Denon 2910 for cheap but slightly weird circumstances

I read through the policies for posting in the for sale area and don't think the slight oddness of this violates anything but I apologize in advance if it does. And ... if it does anger any of the powers that be I will gladly delete the contents of this leaving nothing but a mystery subject in the for sale listings.

I can pick up an outlet 2910 from a friend I believe in either silver or black .... should be in near perfect cosmetic condition but possibly no factory box or original manual. Would have a a receipt from an authorized retailer in my name which could be used however the end owner choosed to.

The catch to the deal: I'm keeping the remote.
The upside to the deal: I'm pretty sure I can get if for 99.99 + tax which is exactly what I would want for the remoteless player .... since most people use universals I'm guessing this is not a huge downside.

Because all I want is the remote and fear of anyone thinking this is some bizarre attempt to rip them off of approximately 105 I'd really like ... really realy like ... to make this a local pickup at 22903. I hate shipping ... a lot. And, since this may sound slightly sketchy it means the potential buyer can inspect the piece before handing over the dough. Know I don't have any seller feedback here but I've given a couple of freebies to people and think they'll back up I'm not a complete freak (emphasis on complete). I have 100% on agon and ebay if anyone cares to pm and check me through my usernames there.

Last caveat: If someone is seriously interested I would need to go and specifically check out the condition of the piece. My assumption is that it will be a like new open box type piece but wouldn't want to proceed until I knew that for sure. I also need to absolutely confirm what I was told about the price because it's not one that's 'published'. Hooked up one of my best friends with a 2900 for that price (he got to keep the remote but only because I hadn't realized I needed one at that point) and almost positive I was told I could get the 2910 for the same but need to double check.

No problem Blake. It was nice to meet you. You get a chance to mess around with fixing up the cv's yet? I'll be interested to hear how that turns out.

The 777 has kindof a special place in my heart but you never know. Something really interesting might come up that takes it's place and if it does I'll give you first dibs.

Would it be a problem just waiting for your cousin to get back from vacation? I have no problem holding it for you if you're definite .... like I said in the first post I'd just really prefer not to have to ship it unless absolutely necessary.

My work schedule is pretty tight right now and since I don't have time to extensively check the unit out would like the purchaser to be able to give it a good once over before they hand over the cash. Also, for someone that really was local to the area I could facilitate warranty repair in the unlikely event something were to go wrong.
