Ok,
So I work for a local distribution center in the Southern IL. area. Well this January they implemented a new Safety incentive program that is split up between 1st shift, 2nd Shift and 3rd shift. The Shift that has the least amount of Accidents gets every1's name from that shift put in a hat for a drawing that could have won $50 in papa Johns pizza and something else and the grand prize was a 37" Vizio LCD TV.

So When I left work last night I knew that 2nd shift had won the Safety program for the month and knew they was going to have the drawing today. No big deal there was like 600 names in the hat for 2nd shift alone.

Well yesterday we got about 6" of snow and I knew I would not be going to work today. So I called in (used a sick day). So around 4:50 when my department was going on break I got a Text from my boss saying (I hope you need a new TV). At this point I'm like WTF? Not thinking that I was even close to having my name pulled for even the Pizza. So I call and he tells me that I won the TV.

At this point I think he is Joking with me and I'm like ya sure and hang up the phone.. No more then a few minutes go by and I start getting all of these Texts from people that work in other parts of the DC telling me that I was a Lucky SOB and I should have had to come to work to win.. LOL

So now I have a NEW 37" Vizio LCD for my Bedroom.. LOL

I thought I would just share my little news for a day that I didn't even go to work.. HAHAHAHAHA

    we had a contest at work like that at the beginning of the year. it included everyone in the state of Az in our dept. (probably around 2k emlpoyees)

    The laziest effer on our crew won an Insignia 37" lcd tv. After that, we all decided the easiest way to win was to do nothing. It hasen't worked for the rest of us yet. :mad:

    I told him that I was working on my acceptance speech and thought that this had a nice ring to it!

    "I'd like tot thank all my 2nd shift Brothers and Sisters for striving to work safely and for allowing me to win this new 37" Vizio LCD Tv and I accept it on behalf of them!"

    Then I told him that I just got back from buy'n the wall mount for it.. LoL

    Needless to say he has not text me back yet.. hahahaha.. But then again he does stuff to us all the time...

    Well I think what I'm going to do it trade the Vizio in on a 32" Samsung due to it not going to fit in the bedroom. So I'll have to pay like $40 for the Sammy, But I think it will be a better TV. But still I ain't Bitchin. Don't go to work get paid and get a $750 tv to boot.. HELL YA!

    Guys I'll let you know how this all works out. Now I just need a Soundbar.. But I think I'll get the Yamaha instead of the Polk so I don't need a receiver. LoL

    Now my wife is upset because I have started cutting holes in the wall for the Power and wall plates. LoL. I just got on flebay to order the Yamaha ysp-3000 (Black) Soundprojector and mount.. She is freaking out... BUT DAMN IT TO HELL! I need some 12-2 and some HDMI. Man I hate working on my house. I feel that they (Work) knew that if I won I would have to work on it thats why they pulled my name. They was like if this Jack **** didn't come to work we will send to work to him at his house.. I think there is a conspiracy going on...

    You got the Yamaha just so you could listen to XM stations? I would hardly call that all in one.

    No, not XM. Just because I don't need a receiver to power the unit. As for the XM I'll be hooking it up to DirecTv with XM stations. :)

    Well I was just informed!
    Since I ordered the Yamaha YSP 3000 Digital Sound Projector yesterday I had to put my spare pair of LSi 9's up for sale. So I just put them in the for sale section Plus I even put the stands also.. :(
    I'm kinda bummed out but they was not doing anything but sitting upstairs collecting dust. So they need to find a good home that will be used and luved as I have since new.
