I only have one Belinda Carlisle CD, "Her Greatest Hits". I have been playing the CD-R of this title continuosly in my car for the week and I can't stop. Very well-crafted pop songs from start to finish. I am looking to get her individual albums to go beyond the hits. I can't believe she wasn't a bigger star. I currently have "Live Your Life Be Free" on repeat. Also enjoying "Leave a Light On", which featured a slide guitar solo by some guy named George Harrison from some obscure band called The Beatles.

Any fan of Belinda Carlisle on this forum?

Duuuuudeddde.....she was a hottie more so after the Go Go's. I have a few of her LP's and CD's and the covers are fun enough to look at! But, I do have to listen to her on occasion.

What's she doing now? Any new material?

I like her; but then again I am a sucker for all of the 80's music. Can you believe that she will be 50 years old this year?!?!?!

She moved to Europe in the 90s and released an album, sung in French, last year (2007) called "Voila".

She's currently touring with the Go Go's. According to Google, the Go Go's are playing at the Superdome in New Orleans on Sunday.

Back in the early 80's we were going out sailing and as we motored by Stansbury Pool in Frog Mortar Creek the Go Go's were playing at the pool. The drummer grew up in that neighborhood. My memory of the Go Go's.

I'll have to say I did not mind watching Belinda in her "Mad About You" video.

Hmmm....I just found out that Keith Urban's first #1 song on the country chart was co-written with Jane and Charlotte Caffey, another founding member of the Go Go's.

Edit: Just pull out and listened to my "Go Go's Greatest Hits" CD and this band truly rocks. Need to pick up the band's studio albums.

Yep. Love her voice and her pop songs are groovy (80's lingo, sorry). Not a big fan but I like a few songs, including some unknowns. It's been awhile since I've spun her CD's. I'll have to go back and review.
