Tax his land,
Tax his wage,
Tax his bed in which he lays.
Tax his tractor,
Tax his mule,
Teach him taxes is the rule.
Tax his cow,
Tax his goat,
Tax his pants,
Tax his coat.
Tax his ties,
Tax his shirts,
Tax his work,
Tax his dirt.
Tax his tobacco,
Tax his drink,
Tax him if he tries to think.
Tax his booze,
Tax his beers,
If he cries,
Tax his tears.
Tax his bills,
Tax his gas,
Tax his notes,
Tax his cash.
Tax him good and let him know
That after taxes, he has no dough.
If he hollers, Tax him more, Tax him until he's good and sore.
Tax his coffin,
Tax his grave,
Tax the sod in which he lays.
Put these words upon his tomb, 'Taxes drove me to my doom!'
And when he's gone, We won't relax,
We'll still be after the inheritance TAX!!

Yea, that was a 100 years ago, when surround sound audio was the cupping of hands to your mouth as you yelled "Fire" and 2CH audio was the whizzing of bullets around your head.
CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.

    Income taxes are unconstitutional.

Can anyone show me the specific law that says we have to pay them?

While I agree we are overtaxed given what we get for the money, more than half of that list could be thrown away since sales taxes have been around forever (yes, I am aware some states don't have them -- they make it up elsewhere).

The thing that bothers me the most is when my money is taxed multiple times without ever spending it. That's just wrong.

Also, just as an aside -- we were far better off as a country taking care of our neighbors before we started relying on government to do it for us.

Bob, this reminds me of a post I saw recently......here it is.

    A. A billion seconds ago it was 1959.
    B. A billion minutes ago Jesus was alive.
    C. A billion hours ago our ancestors were living in the Stone Age.
    D. A billion days ago no-one walked on the earth on two feet.
    E. A billion dollars ago was only 8 hours and 20 minutes, at the rate our government is spending it.

While this thought is still fresh in our brain, let's take a look at New Orleans It's amazing what you can learn with some simple division . . Louisiana Senator, Mary Landrieu (D), is presently asking the Congress for $250 BILLION to rebuild New Orleans. Interesting number, what does it mean?

    A. Well, if you are one of 484,674 residents of New Orleans (every man, woman, child), you each get $516,528.
    B. Or, if you have one of the 188,251 homes in New Orleans , your home gets $1,329,787.
    C. Or, if you are a family of four, your family gets $2,066,012.

Washington, D.C .. HELLO!!! ... Are all your calculators broken?

Tax his land, Tax his wage, Tax his bed in which he lays. Tax his tractor, Tax his mule, Teach him taxes is the rule. Tax his cow, Tax his goat, Tax his pants, Tax his coat. Article I, Section 8 of the United States Constitution:

"The Congress shall have power to lay and collect taxes, duties, imposts and excises, to pay the debts and provide for the common defense and general welfare of the United States; but all duties, imposts and excises shall be uniform throughout the United States;"

No specific statute is required. That's the beauty of the Constitution. It's the Supreme Law.

Oh and by the way . . . many of the great verses in our consitution are unoriginal. In fact, most of the ideas are stolen from the constitutions of States in the Union before the writing of the Constitution, including taxes. The Supreme Court was unique to the Constitution. You can blame them for allowing Congress to pass legislation to tax the **** out of us.

Taxes are created to provide for the good of the people by paying for things like roads and schools. That's what I was told in grade school.

Today, I pay my taxes for the roads I don't use since I drive on the tollway which I'm paying because taxes aren't enough but supposedly the tollways have been paid for many times over yet I'm still paying somebody for it.

Yes, I'm middle class America and I'm getting the shaft. I'm not bitter about it but I'm not blind and dumb either.

    Good day

    Taxman
    George Harrison

Let me tell you how it will be,

There's one for you, nineteen for me,

Cause I'm the taxman,, yeah, I'm the taxman

Should five percent appear too small,

Be thankful I don't take it all,

'Cause I'm the taxman, yeah, I'm the taxman

If you drive a car, I'll tax the street,

If you try to sit, I'll tax your seat

If you get too cold, I'll tax the heat,

If you take a walk, I'll tax your feet, taxman,

'Cause I'm the taxman, yeah, I'm the taxman

Don't ask me what I want it for,

    (ha ha Mr. Wilson)

If you don't want to pay some more,

    (ha ha Mr. Heath)

'Cause I'm the taxman, yeah, I'm the taxman

Now my advice for those who die,

Declare the pennies on your eyes,

'Cause I'm the taxman, yeah, I'm the taxman

And you're working for no one but me.

If you think taxes are bad now, wait untill Hillary or O'bamma step in,both have said to pay for universal healthcare, they both would have to raise taxes. We all know to bite that bullet,it will be a fairly large raise.

Let's add McCain to that list as well . . . I'm still not sure he won't raise taxes as he sometimes appears more to the left than the right. He will definitely get my vote over the other two mentioned.
