Nice looking setup man! Man, I thought about that pre many times before buying the NAD integrated...

Nice setup!
What kind of speakers are those? They look familiar.
And how many speakers are you driving? I see you have both a Parasound and the Rotel. -
infinity 1b's. six woofers per-side. seven emim midranges pre-side and four emit tweeters per-side. the parasound is for the bass panels
-
Now that's a pair of Infinity that worth a listen......and that's a rare day indeed.CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.

well, to tell you the truth. ive heard many system's in my day. the big,the small, the bad,the ugly. these are the best sound ive heard to date!!!! HUGE sound stage, very very very smooth. and if cannon shots go off you better duck. quality sound from top to bottom.

That's gotta be some strong glass there bud.
Nice setup. -
yes. very nice guy. this is good,no??
-
supposed to handle 260lps between the amps== 170
-
Absolutely, he's a friend of mine.....big, mean looking guy but a teddy bear. The reason he sold that amp is because he bought my Audio Research amp.....well, one reason I guess
That's funny stuff and I wondered if that was the one you were buying but I couldn't recall where you were from.
If you're down here again, give me a shout. I'm linked via email from here.CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint. -
Super nice rig...How does the Rotel sound compared the the mega Parasound 3500 ?
I'm thinking about a BIG amp myself, and those two are on my short list.
Thanks,Mike -

both neck and neck. the 3500 is a better bass amp for sure. i tried the 3500 on the top also, was very good there also. if i had two 3500's the sound would be just fine. the rotel came along first. most folks would say the rotel is alittle smoother in the mid and high area. i cant tell, they both sound too darn good. if i had to pick one over the other, the parasound. for sheer power its the way to go. so i guess one of each is perfect

Rock on. Looks awesome.

Thanks man,I already have a couple of Parasounds that I'm quite happy with, but either one,the Rotel 1090 or the HCA 3500 look to be a beast for sure:D -
if i could just find a way to make my pictures come out lighter. they always come out so dark, and thats with all the lights on
-
keep in mind th 3500 is 22 inches deep. and 85 pounds. i got a real kick out of it when i first saw it

I agree as the Parasound was designed to have a heavy, controlled low end. It's a Parasound trademark. The only Parasound I've ever heard with a crisp high end would be the Halo series or my BBQCTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers?
