Ok im a Noob kinda when it comes to audio
I just bought a new CSI125 Off ebay for 80shipped. Now I want to turn my whole System to polk. Any Suggestions on Fronts I thinking the R50's their cheap and Frys.com has them for 60bucks each plus shipping which came to 160ish. Then Surround sound speakers i was thinking the Bookshelf R15'. Also looking for a subwoofer the psw10 i dont think is going to cut it for me Im thinking the psw303 or better. All this is beening pushed by a Kenwood Vr-615 reciever which is 100x6watts. Would all this overload the reciever do you think? From what i understand is polk speaker draw a lot of current and the thousand speaker i have which is (4surround,2fronts,2bookshelf,2subs,1 Center) i dont know how much curent they take but the reciever dosent even sweat.I know I know what the Heck are you doing with 10speakers well they old and IM young make work with what I have.
1 more question For moderators or people that work for Polk Audio How come Polk Audio Doesnt have store at the main Location Baltimore MD? I live 5 mins away and there is no dealers around here really that offers a selection of polk audio.

When people say that speakers like a lot of power they are reffering to watts per channel (wpc). Any speaker, regardless of the brand, will sound better and be driven to its full potential with more wattage. That does not mean that you must be driving the speakers with all they can handle.
I had the R50s getting (guessing) about 40 wpc out of an old kenwood receiver. They sounded great (and are what made me stick with polk). I truely enjoyed the sound and almost want to hold on to them for future use rather than sell them to a friend. I am now driving RTI 8's with 120 wpc (rated) so probably realistically 80 - 90 wpc and I love the sound. I am going to upgrade down the road with an amp to push them a bit more and improve the sound further, but I am happy for now. You probably will be just fine driving the R50's with your receiver. For the price, you can't really go wrong with those speakers. -
That system should be fine. Your little receiver is pushing 100 watts per channel and can power all 5 of those speakers adequately IMO. I love Polk speakers but am not a fan of Polk subs, although I am sure there will be others on here who disagree.
Just make sure you don't buy a passive sub, because you won't have any channels left on your AVR. In other words, make sure it plugs into the wall.My Main Gear

The speakers would work great together and make a very nice inexpensive system. A buddy of mine is running a similar system of 4 R50's from frys and a single R15 for the center. (He has been thinking of getting the same center as you but hasn't yet)
The sub he chose was the outlaw LFM-1 compact and it sounds really good for the price he paid for it. (he got it for $330 on a christmas sale, but it is well worth the $400 outlaw asks for it normally)

Howdy, I have the complete R-Series system but may do something different for the center. I bought and returned a CSMBLK center last week. I had in my site a CSI3 but did not bite. I'm going to hold off till I build my basement. Then I will buy the "good polk"...lol... By all means get the R-50's, you will never find more bang for your buck!
I do love my 50's and will not trade them in untill I get a better reciever.Retired Onkyo 520 (returned broken HK 247)

as far a sub goes the best one i have seen in person is a psw404 cause im looking for that real deep bass like you get in a car sound system so knowing polk makes good products im aiming for psw404 or 505. Ive bought cables monster rca cable for the sub already just havent bought the sub yet.- This your Bush?

A couple years back I set my bro up with R30s and some r15s on his yamaha receiver, it was impressive for the price. The wole family pitched in $ and I did the shopping for him.
