He invented Polk-a-dots. Really nice rags to riches story"Appreciation of audio is a completely subjective human experience. Measurements can provide a measure of insight, but are no substitute for human judgment. Why are we looking to reduce a subjective experience to objective criteria anyway? The subtleties of music and audio reproduction are for those who appreciate it. Differentiation by numbers is for those who do not".--Nelson Pass Pass Labs XA25 | EE Avant Pre | EE Mini Max Supreme DAC | MIT Shotgun S1 | Pangea AC14SE MKII | Legend L600 | BlueSound Node 3 - Tubes add soul! -
I've read that article before but it's always nice to re-visit."Appreciation of audio is a completely subjective human experience. That was interesting reading; sounds like a regular d00d (that's a good thing)
who knows what he's talking about (that's a good thing, too).
Kind of a shame, though, that the marine biology thing didn't work out; "SeaHunt" would probably still be on the air if it had and we'd probably be conversing with dolphins by now.
All in all, not too shabby for somebody with a degree from Johns Hopkins.Sal Palooza -
I have only read half of it so far. But seems like a decent read. Thanks for the link.
