LSI 15 question

Following in the footsteps of another thread I have a more pointed question about the LSI series. How would you compare the LSI 15 to the RT3000? I found a good price on a pair of 15s and I'm intrigued. Just curious what others might think.

If I go with the 15s I assume those won't timbre match with the rest of my setup?

Maybe I should just go to sleep before I get myself in trouble....

You are correct on the Timbre matching. The Vifa tweeter that the LSis use is unique to the line. The LSi15 is going to be more detailed, and forward then the RT3000 with the tri-laminate tweeter. They are going to be on the warmer side. I hope this brief overview helps.

In the event I do pick up the 15s and sell off my RT5000 system, is there much of a market for these items out there? I know there's interest in the fx1000s from another thread, but I wonder about the mains. They are great speakers, but shipping would be a major hassle.

They play together not to bad, so HT isn't a huge deal. Music is 2 channel for me. If you can get LSI's near RTI prices jump on them.
