According to the parts lists, no Monitors have the 6510. A few SDA's do, but not the 2b's.

Are the rubber surrounds Pre cut?
Please. Please contact me a ben62670 @ yahoo.com. Make sure to include who you are, and you are from Polk so I don't delete your email. Also I am now physically unable to work on any projects. If you need help let these guys know. There are many people who will help if you let them know where you are.

    Hello,
Are you referring to the area where the mounting screws are? If so, I hope so, they're in San Diego and I'm in Baltimore. The incoming product evaluation system takes samples of every part and examines them and makes sure they meet specifications.
I'll ask Gil if the surrounds seem okay.

When I did Car stereo installs I used a handheld single hole punch and removed the guard to cut the rubber surround. Worked like a charm.

    Thanks for the update Ken.

I think we should bronze Ken's phone headset from work and make it into a trophy.

Great news, the SDA-1C's take 2 6510's and 2 6511's. I was always worried about finding replacements if needed. Any idea how long Polk will carry these?

They go through production runs of X amount of drivers, based on contract. That data will never be revealed and nor do I know what it is.

My suggestion is when they run them, stock up, because at some point it will end. The only thing that stopped production of these alltogether was the CS requests and mainly Club Polk.

All this catty BS that's occuring now, and yet the rabid membership fails to expound upon the positive effects. Typical.

Mark, as usual, makes a salient point. (He does his best thinking without his pants on lathered up in extra virgin olive oil). Most companies out there would have left us hanging YEARS ago.
