One of Stephie's oldest and best friends, 17 year old Cortney, lost her dad yesterday. 54 year old crane operator, suffered a massive heart attack and that was it. The home is about a mile from here.

Theresa ordered a bunch of sandwich trays for the family along with a bunch of other things from everybody's favorite sandwich shop, Primos. I stopped in there today to get my own lunch, and Sylvia told me the delivery person called out today. I ended up taking the order over to Cortney's home myself. It was bad, and for a moment while I was holding Cortney, I figured somebody else could be doing this for Stephie at 17 or 18. I kept it together okay and when I got out to the car I cried my **** eyes out. The lady of the house has never worked, always been a stay-at-home mom taking care of her handicapped son who is now 14. I don't know the magnitude of the boy's disability, but I sure hope Cortney's dad had his act together, and did the right thing insurance-wise.
