I want to upgrade my stuck audio because it sounds horrible and im tired of fm radio.... I have a 2000 grand prix with cassete player... I really dont know much about car stereo... So here are my questions:
1: I've been thinking about getting MMC525 and MMC690, If i get a pioneer headunit, do I still need an amp for them? (c400.1 comes to mind) or am I ok with a Premier DEH-P590iB? If i don't need one, is it recommend it? will the sounds be ALOT better with a c400.1?
2:So... if the sound isn't that much better with the amp, should i then just get a c500.1 and a 12inch sub?
Thank you so much in advance.

most aftermarket speakers are made to be used with amplifiers. That being said, you can go without one, however, don't expect much from your speakers. I have the c400 and I'm very pleased with it. Even if you do amplify your speakers, I still suggest looking into a sub because fullrange or midrange speakers won't play as low as a sub. generally, people have their speakers play down to 50-60hz, and then the sub plays somewhere around 80hz and under for daily driving
