2008 Audio Wish List

I'm toying with the idea of running dual subs for HT, and secondarily figuring out how I can integrate them for 2-channel, if possible.
Just for the hell of it, I may also "upgrade" my Emotiva amp and pre/pro when the new models are introduced.
That's all.
What's on your wish list for this year?

Tannoy D700's or D900's if I can find them.
If not, dare I say it, stereo subs.
Upgrade my HT amps to a single 5/6 channel.
New HT/2 Ch. Pre-Amp(on it's way:D).
Finish my HT room, paint and a new floor."He who fights with monsters should look to it that he himself does not become a monster. And when you gaze long into an abyss the abyss also gazes into you." Friedrich Nietzsche -
I'm pretty happy with my system.
I'm thinking Diana Krall, and Allison Krause doing a personal concert for me in the nude.Please. Please contact me a ben62670 @ yahoo.com. Make sure to include who you are, and you are from Polk so I don't delete your email. Also I am now physically unable to work on any projects. If you need help let these guys know. There are many people who will help if you let them know where you are.
Thanks

Geez, I hope I don't get into it again this year. I haven't purchased any audio hardware since August!
However, the head ruminations are as follows:
* plasma HDTV (probably a Panny 42-50")
* 2nd (less costly) Turntable/Arm/Cart for a possible office rig
* nice subwoofer for HT - IF I move out of the apt into a house
* Tannoy Eyris DC3 speaks for possible 2nd system - again, only I move out of the apt into a houseTannoy Dimension TD10, SOTA Star Sapphire, Heathkit W4A's, McIntosh MC2100, Eddie-Current Zana Deux, Singlepower SDS, Sennheiser HD650, Audio-Technica L3000, Sony Qualia 010 -

A good deal on a used EMO amp and pre/pro. lol But......do you think you would post your current EMO gear here if you decide to go with new, or move them to a new home? I am still waiting to see the new EMO equipment start shipping, and what the firm $$ will be. If it increases too much I probably will be looking at used. -
Play with digital sources; this is happening in the very short term, since I have a Sony ES player being modded by Matt at sacdmods.com
Maybe upgrade the TT.
No planned changes in speakers for this year (Like those were planned...)_________________________________________________

Just a few things: An LCD TV (not sure which one), 16LS tube amp, a 5 channel amp (again, not sure which one). And that is the end of my no specific 2008 list.

Good thread! Let's just hope that our spouses don't get wind of it.
- Upgrade front speakers to RTi8's or better
- Decide on amps to use for fronts and center (either stick with Parasound or try out some Adcoms)
- If new movies stop getting released in HD DVD, buy a Blu-Ray player (probably a PS3)My HT

Hopefully a new pre-pro and a new amplifier. - I am still not giving up on my sound expectations.
I am letting all the dust settle around hdmi 1.x, and I am hoping this year even the pre will have full hdmi support.
As far as amps goes somehow I like the idea of lighter components.
I am also considering a blue ray player for year end. Hopefully soon either HD or BlueRay will be the going forward technology.Current HT setup

My wishlist consists of one major item for 2008. I am really wanting a pair of super high efficiency speakers. Not quite sure what yet but something like Avantgarde horns or maybe an offering by ZU Audio like the Druid or Definition. I may just build something cheap to keep me happy for awhile longer if a deal doesn't pop up somewhere.
