Checked, they claim to buy overstock from dealers and that they have their own warranty. However, everything is new and in box.

I sent an email to Derek at Gallo to see if they are authorized. They are about 25-30% less than list, so I doubt it. It would be nice as they have the entire range of products.

Well, the maggies MMGs sound good in my area, but the dealer says the size of my room might not be conducive to 3.6 Qrs. That being said, these Gallos are for a second listening space.

Here's what the website support had to say:

Best of Audio sells only new and unused product, "A" stock, not gray
market items, not refurbished, not open box.

Products sold on this web site are packaged with applicable
manufacturer's warranty and service information detailing specific
    terms and conditions.

BestofAudio matches the terms of the manufacture warranty policies
from the date of purchase. Most manufactures items that are
represented for sale by audiophileliquidator.net do not offer
manufacture warranty when purchased from none authorize reseller.

Bestofaudio is not an authorized reseller but liquidator of the
products listed for sale on this website. To be an authorized
reseller, manufacturer requires that reseller abide by manufactures
suggested and minimum selling prices or MSRP. The manufactures that we
represent do not support free market trade of the products they
manufacture. We support free market trade and offer our products at
discounted prices with minimal profit margins.

Ok, Underwood's price was $2580 as of November... I'd say the extra $280 is totally worth it- his CS is superb.

That said, it's DAMN hard to f- up a pair of gallos. The tweeter litterally will not blow, and the mids are pretty difficult to burn out.

I did blow a woofer, but it was due to sub-20hz feedback from my turntable, not something that would be covered by the warranty.

Here is the response from Gallo:

No, they are not authorized. Purchases from them will have no warranty and no free technical support from Gallo.

These guys are already on our radar. They are purchasing sideways from a dirty dealer. We are taking appropriate action to try to just them down regarding selling Gallo products.
    Gallo.

    Be wary.

I blew a tweeter, the thing went up in smoke after screeching to death. Gallo CS was top notch, turn around time was about 2 weeks from the time I shipped to having the speaker back.

That said I would much rather buy new for the extra coin for the extra peace of mind. My local dealer did mine for $2599 if I recall correctly, shop around.

$2599 would be a good price. I want to keep it somewhat low som I have money left over for the additional amp.
