I was wondering if anyone can comment on the two?
It would cost me $225 more to get the SVS than the Polk.

I've heard the PSW505 at Circuit City and the SVS at a trade show, so I can't really comment on them in a home environment. However, I felt that the SVS sounded much tighter than the Polk.polkaudio RT35 Bookshelves

$225 tighter?
I bought the 505 for $300 and it will cost me $525 for the SVS.Rti8

As you can see by PolkThug's "comment" there really is no comparison at the lower frequencies. However, only you can decide if the SVS is worth the extra cost to you. You definitely get a better performing, harder hitting sub with the SVS.McIntosh MA252 Integrated Amp, LUMIN D2 Network Music Player, Yamaha Aventage RX-A840 receiver, Emotiva XPA Gen3 2 channel amp, Polk LSiM 703 speakers.
