Rm 6880

Hi everyone! I'm interested in converting mu RM 6880 5.1 to 7.1, but the problem is I cannot find two RM 6880 satellites that are for sale. Does anyone have any suggestions on where to find or another alternative. I'm not interested in floorstands or bookshelf speakers. To appease my wife, I need to stay with the satellite "size"

Thanks a bunch

Jason

Welcome to the forum. The individual speakers are available, they're RM101's, and you can check with HH Gregg's, or try Tweeter- make sure you specify black to match the 6880's. Also, you can check 'Products' on this site.
    Good luck

Welcome as well. obieone's right about the matching speaker. Although, you could also go with a bit larger of a speaker for the mains, like this one:

The RM201s are the next size up and also wall mountable, but not a whole lot bigger and match the speakers you already have. I personally like my mains larger than the rest, and it would also just change things up a bit.

I agree! I'm using three of the 201's (fronts and center) and two 101's (rears) and they're more than enough for my 12' x 12' living room.

For a "larger" compatible center speaker I called Polk Tech Support but I can't remember which one they suggested would be a good match to the 201's and 101's.

What is the best wiring setup for a 7.1 system? I have a Sony DH810 and a RM6880 set with 2 addition RM201's for the fronts.
    Thanks
