For all you single-driver fanatics out there, I just wanted to do a quick post on the great experience I had w/ the jordan-usa folks.
So, the Jordan JX92s is one of the best full range driver's I've heard- in a little 8 liter ported box, it'll do just about everything a pair of LSi9's will do, but with no crossover, tweeter or anything else. These guys might not go to 11, but they can reveal things you've never heard on recordings you've owned for years. I snagged mine on Ebay awhile back, but these drivers had been (in the past) a little hard to find in the US.
A few months ago, one of the cones got bent (drinking and moving things around=bad) and there was no way to pop it back into shape. Still sounded Ok... but I'd been meaning to try to find another and last Friday I finally got around to looking.
Enter Jordan USA.
They're an authorized distributor & the webpage is still a little cludgy, but they make up for it in great service. I placed my order at about 1:45pm Friday; at 2:30pm I got an email from them confirming that I wanted just one driver, not a pair; they shipped it that day (FREE SHIPPING!) and I had it in my hands on Monday.
So, if you want to try out a full range driver project, I can highly recommend both the JX92s driver and Jordan USA!

Looks like a pretty cool driver with some good DIY boxes shown. It isn't really efficient if I'm reading the specs right. Not that it matters, just most single driver systems are.
madmaxVinyl, the final frontier...
Avantgarde horns, 300b tubes, thats the kinda crap I want... -
That is its one downfall- they're not going to fill a large room, but they've got a waaaaay smoother response than my Fostex BLH and tons more bass from a tiny box. Six feet by 8"x10"s vs 7.5"x9"x10" (rough dimensions, anyway).Gallo Ref 3.1 : Bryston 4b SST : Musical fidelity CD Pre : VPI HW-19

Just went to looking and realized I'd never put up pic's. I banged these together out of about $15 worth of birch ply as just a test of concept, but they sounded so good, I never got around to doing a better job... At reasonable volumes they'll hang with the Gallos on all but the last octave & a half. (BTW, yes, I need stands- I sit on the floor to listen to them and yes, the carpet does mess w/ the imaging)Gallo Ref 3.1 : Bryston 4b SST : Musical fidelity CD Pre : VPI HW-19

Detailed specs here:

Those 8 liter boxes I built are good down to about 52-53 hz, but the MLTL design is supposed to go down to 35hz:

That high frequency rise is pretty easy to tame by adjusting the amount of toe-in- the biggest issue is that at higher volumes the bass will introduce distortions into the treble (or maybe it's there at low volumes, too and i can't hear it).
By the way, Mark Audio is probably your best bet for China:
