Any Gmail users here ever gotten the message "Oops...the system was unable to perform this operation" when trying to log in?

It seems like it happens to me most when I am in the middle of writing a paper that I sent myself, or right when I receive an important message!!!

Gmail is reliable...only when I don't need it ;)

Never had a problem logging in.

If you're in a pinch, maybe you can try getting around the web login by getting your mail via POP3 or IMAP?
If you will it, dude, it is no dream.

I'll see it a few times when I need it for something important, then never see it for weeks (or even months).

    I just noticed -

It seems to happen more on slower connections (such as dial-up/satellite) but not much on a high-speed connection.

    Google's free email.

Like Yahoo! mail or Hotmail, but, you know, not crappy.

Log in about 12-15 times per day, over about 3 years, and have seen it a few times (all broadband). Other buggy stuff would be some freezing and lagging trying to save and some other quirky stuff. However, it's extremely reliable. I've only been delayed a couple of times where it's been more than a minute, and it was always time critical too.

If anyone is not using Notifier with Gmail, check it out. Very friendly.

I have been using Windows Mail and have no complants and my wife and I like and are used to it. We have tried to use the Yahoo Mail when we switched to DSL and it is just confusing and somewhat childish looking, total sheit IMO.
Thanks for the explanation as to what it was, I just never looked into it.

Yahoo is the Bose of the web. Also, most cannot fully uninstall/unregister it. I treat it as a virus.
