Hard drive question, part II

Alright, I have the hard drive working in my computer, except for one thing. I put my system in standby after I am done using it to save power, the only problem is that my old hard drive that I added as a second drive, doesn't come back "online" so to speak when I take the computer out of standby. Anyone know if there are any settings I can change on the hard drive that I added that will wake it up when I bring the computer back from standby? Thanks again!
I know just enough to be dangerous, but don't tell my wife, she thinks I'm a genius.

Master/Slave device settings in BIOS. IDE primary/secondary. DMA setting in BIOS too.
