My friend has train horns on his jeep. He got pulled over and asked if he had them. Of course he said no. They asked him to push his horn, but its not hooked up to that...lol.
They gave him a ticket for speeding or something but they just told him, in case he had train horns, itd be a $375 fine if he was caught with them...

This should get you started. Add a compressor and 3 gallon tank and you're all set.

I have a Leslie 3 chime from a GP-7 used on the L&N. I had it hooked up to a compressor and a 30 gallon tank. That thing was loud as a (insert your favorite). I'd call my son from the park behind the house with it. Drove my ex crazy. She just didn't see the humor in it at all. Thinking back.....I see lots more humor in it now. I'm thinking now of maybe getting back from the train club and doing a drivve-by on her **** at 3:00am. Back right up to her window and BLASTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT!!!!!!!Testing

My Buick Roadmaster has Factory horns that scare the bejesus out of offending cutter-offers. Usually accompanied by the "You're #1" hand gesture.:D

If anyone's looking buy sets of train horns, be careful you're not getting stolen ones. Guys cutting the chimes off of locomotives has become a problem in some areas.
I've never been much of a horn guy, but I'm a fan of motorized sirens. One of these days I'd like to pick up a civil defense model like an Allertor or a Thunderbolt 1000T. Right now I have a little Federal EG vehiclular siren that I got into shape for the Super Bowl party. -
My gawd, there's hope for America after all !!!
