So the other day I noticed that one driver on my SDAs was shinier than the others on both speakers. After cleaning all of them to make sure it wasn't just a lack of dust on the cone, I thought it might be a replacement driver. To check this, and to make sure it matched the other drivers, I pulled both drivers out of the right cabinet. Sure enough, it was a replacement - made in 1998. Fortunately, the model numbers matched.

On a whim, I decided that while I had my screwdrivers out I might as well take a peek at the crossovers behind the PR. So I pulled the PR and discovered 2 new facts: 1) the PR has a piece of styrofoam glued to the back of it! 2) the edge seal around the PR was out of place for about 2 inches in one spot. So I fixed the seal, checked my xovers against the schematics, and sealed it back up.

I'm wondering if I'll hear a difference in bass response now.
