Does anyone here know anything about DirectBuy ?

In particular how much their membership fees are, how they work and what that entitles one to ?

Getting information out them without actually showing up at one after being "invited" seems to be virtually impossible ...

If you are building a new house you could save some serious bucks on stuff like kitchen cabinets. That's about it. Appliances, electronics...even flooring, forget it. After they add their percentage and shipping it's either more, the same or not much less. You'll pay $4K plus to join and then at some point yearly dues. My contractor belongs and he got our Kraftmaid cabinets and flooring there.
