I currently have the Klipsch F-1 for front and am looking to upgarde to the Polk RTI8's. I am unable to hear them side by side so want to make sure this would be an upgrade worth doing. I also have the Klipsch Sud-10 and am not happy with it when listening to music. It is to boomy with no detailed impact.
Thanks for the help.

Most people on the forum would vote rti8. As for the sub, there is lots of talk of the new Polk subs, but then you will hear..SVS and HSU come up.
which receiver are you using? -
Thanks for the input! I have seen alot of mention of the rti8's being bright but when it comes to detail compared to Klipsch would the rti8's still get the thumbs up? I have the F-!'s and find them to be dull sounding and lacking detail but this could be my receiver. I am also comparing them to my Quintets set that are on the wall but soon to be replaced with polk. How much better would the CSI3 be than the little Center that comes with the Quintets. I bought that suround set because every place you go gives them very high marks. How is the RTI10's compared to the RTI8's as far as detail and clean impactful bass?
The receiver is a Yamaha RX-V461 5.1. 110 watts per channel.
This is being changed as well for a better 7.1 unit but not sure if Sony ES or Dennon would be better. Please give your Opinion.

All rtis 8-10-12 use the same tweeter. I have the 8s and find they have a better mid over the 10s. I did have my 8s hooked up to an rxv540, didn't like it much. I then got a HK335 and enjoyed it very much, it wasn't until I bought external amps of 200wpc that I noticed how nice they are. But let your ears decide. As for the csi3 it's a good centre, again I have 200w from an external amp going to it. I am in the process of looking for a csi5 as it is better matched to the 8s.
which ever receiver you choose just be sure it has preouts.
