spiderman3 = pro logic?

my avr is seeing spiderman3 as 2 channel prologic...

spiderman3 in blueray + PS3 = prologic
spiderman3 dvd + PS3 = prologic
spiderman3 dvd + yamaha dvd-s2700 = prologic

:confused:

anyone seeing the same thing?
my 7.(1x4) HT setup
TV - Mitsubishi WD-65734

    That is funny because my pre/pro only let me set Spidy 3 to 2 channel also. I was not sure if it was the disk. But Cars also is 2 channel so maybe it is my gear.

    Are we talking the SD DVD or Blu-Ray version? I get PCM audio over HDMI.

    both sddvd and blueray...

    i'm going from player to avr via toslink...yamaha rx-z9 does not have hdmi.

    I've seen that, please check on the disc audio setup before playing the movie, I believed the default is DD 5.0 that's why it show ProLogic, change it to DD5.1

    every dvd i get dolby digital.....its only spidy3 that is in dolby pl......

    Yes, but in the menu for the PS3 or the movie menu, PS3 is selected for bitstream and movie is selected for DD?

    in the PS3:

    -Settings - BD/DVD Settings - BD Audio Output Format(Optical Digital)
    switching from Linear PCM to Bitstream, i get spidy3 in multichannel sound! :D

    this makes spidy3 in regular dvd (2 ch) sound......boring :D
