help on wiring amp and subs

I have an Alpine cda-9857 head unit, an alpine pdx1.1000 amp and three (3) JL Audio W3 subwoofers. I would like to know what is the best way to hook them up to get maximum performance. An installer told me that this is about the hardest combination there is to hook up stable because of the odd number of subs makes power distribution difficult. He said the best thing would be to go to 2 or 4 subs. Any help would be greatly appreciated since I am hooking this up on my own.

What is the voice coil impedance and how many coils per sub?
What load can the amplifier handle in bridged operation? 1 ohm? -
my subs are 4 ohm single voice coil and the amp says stable at 1000rms watts at 4 ohms and 1000 rms watts at 2 ohms

The amp is only stable with 2 or 4 subs. If you can get an extra sub before scoring a box, that would be best.

Yea, that amp would go into protect. Adding an additional single 4 ohm sub would be optimal.
