Speaker recommendation for s10

Right now I have an alpine cda-9857 installed in my 02 chevy s10 extreme. Everything else is stock. I have 2 speakers in the dash and 2 in the doors. Can anyone reccomend something good that will sound noticibly better than the stock speakers? I really dont want to add a sub but would like some speakers that can deliver decent bass. I havent really cared much for SQ in my vehicle before(although I do have a nice collection of headphones) so I dont know what type of speakers/amps to go for.

Disconnect the dash speakers and fit whatever size Momo speaker will fit inside your door. If you can afford the component set, all the better.
As for an amp, something along the lines of a MTX, Kicker or RF is usually a good place to look. Theyre pretty mainstream and easy to find. A good 2 channel in the 50-100 watt range should do.polkaudio sound quality competitor since 2005

Thanks. How much of a difference do you think I will notice with this setup compared to what i have now? Will I not miss the dash speakers once this is done?

what would be a good amp for the mmc6500? It will not be powering anything else.

Just about any speaker will sound better than stock. There is where your money is best spent. If you want more of an upgrade once it's done, add an amp.

I would get an amp that puts out 50 x 4 or more and use it to bi-amp the mmc6500. then put the drivers in the doors and the tweeters in the a-pillar (or anywhere around there). Then sit back, listen and enjoy!
Of course a 2 channel amp will also work instead of a 4 channel amp. But go with the 4 channel if you want more tuning flexibility.
