Hey guys:
I finally sold my 4 yr old monster sized big screen and I'm replacing it with a 50" Samsung to give my SDAs some much needed breathing room. Without installing bucking magnets, how close to the tv is safe?
Thanks,
Brett

No worries on newer sets I take it. Thank you, sir. -
As long as the new set is a Plasma or LCD. Tube models would be effected.

Yup, cathode ray tubes are the only current TV technology effected by magnets. To answer your questions however, you can get canceling magnets or magnetic shielding cloth to guard against those stray fields.
