Hello all, I did not introduce myself, my name is Mike and I am new to Polk. I have been an Infinity fan most of my life, but I look forward to hearing the beauty of Polk.

My modest system....
Onkyo 7.1 surround receiver
Paradigm Mini Monitors v.4 for the mains (looking to replace with Monitor 7cs)
4 Proficient Audio C 650 6.5 inch ceiling speakers
Infinity Entra center speaker
KLH 10" powered sub
Toshiba progressive scan dvd player
Mitsubishi 48" 1080i high def projection tv

Have a great day!!!!

Welcome to the forum. I've learned a lot around here and you can too if you stick around & get involved. It's worth it!

Hi Mike, and welcome to CP. You sound like a guy in need of something along the lines of oh, I dunno, say a nice pair of SDA-1Cs? I think they might just make you smile.
(Yeah, I know guys, get in line.:) )

Say, BTW. I have a brother Mike, are you related? Boltaway.gif

What would you want for the SDA-1Cs? I may want to get my Monitor 7cs first and see how I like them. They will be my first pair of Polks.

Well just to give you an idea Mike, I bought my first pair back in the eighties (Monitor 7's) and upgraded to SDA2's a couple years later. I sold the monitor 7's and still have the SDA2's.

You would not be disappointed by 1C's.

None for sale here, just throwing out a nice Polk for you to start looking for. I could ask my brother if his are for sale... he might need a good laugh. :)

+1 on the 1C's. The pair I got from Doro have settled in nicely. M'ville is right around the corner and my door is always open.

Welcome Mike. SDAs are people's babies around here, but different models do go on sale here a couple times a month. Try out those Monitor 7cs and I hope you like them. Classic Polks are quiet the speakers!
