Amp to power LSI15/FXIC?
I currently own RTI8s/CSI5/FXIA4s (rear and sourround) with Bic H100.
I am REALLLLY tempted to upgrade to the LSI15/FXIC. However, the cost for the extra amp is swaying me away from upgrading. I recently bought a Yamaha RXV-1800 receiver for around 900 dollars but contemplating if I should return it, go for a lower end receiver and use the extra money for the amp to power the LSI15/FXIC.
Also, I dont plan on swapping out the FXIA4 because its just an arm and a leg for the LSI sourround
In othe words.
1) what decent amp can I get for around 400 dollars to power the the LSI line?
2) If I am going to spend the money on an pre-amp, is spending 900 dollars on the yamaha too much just to do pre processing?
3) will FXIA4 with LSI15/FXIC combo sound weird?
thanks.

From reading your signature I would keep the current setup, put 2 monoblocks on the rti8s and upgrade that sub.Shoot the jumper.....................BALLIN.............!!!!!

What Sherard said.
At the very least as well as getting the 15's you would also need to get the LSIC to have a coherent front stage. So now were are talking about having 4 channels of needing separate amplification.
You already have a well put together matching system. I would look for a 7 channel 200wpc amp for what you have & call it a day.Marantz AV-7705 PrePro, Classé 5 channel 200wpc Amp, Oppo 103 BluRay, Rotel RCD-1072 CDP, Sony XBR-49X800E TV, Polk S60 Main Speakers, Polk ES30 Center Channel, Polk S15 Surround Speakers SVS SB12-NSD x2 -

Hit the used market. You can get an Adcom GFA 555 for under 400.00. Many used monoblocks can be had in pairs for under 400.00.
But, I have read some good things about the Emo and I have read some bad things. More good then bad though.
Pair those 8's with a good sub and you should be happy.Michael

I bought the Bic H100 based off recommendations from avsforum. It seems like no one likes the Bic h100 hereReceiver: Onkyo TX-SR805

I think I'll just stick with my current SETUP.
I bought my BIC h100 for 250 dollars. Is it worth upgrading to HSU or SVC ? I am willing to spend an extra 100 dollars. What are my options?Receiver: Onkyo TX-SR805
