Just recently purchased 2 rti10s and a csi3 from frys, got the psw110 sub for $200 off because of the free sub offer and they didn't have the psw10, then I purchased a pair of fxi a4s. I wondering will my onkyo 805 work with this combo for my home theater/music listening.

Welcome to the forum. I think your Onkyo will work just fine. You probably won't be able to enjoy the full potential of your Rti10s without a separate amplifier but the 805 has preouts so sometime in the future you could upgrade and add an amp.

    Enjoy your system.

I called Frys last week and asked if they had the free polk sub with $500 purchase and they said no. How did you get it?

Optical cable will transmit standard dolby or dts. HDMI can carry the high definition versions of dolby and dts (lossy and lossless) but exactly which ones you will be able to listen to depends on your players and your receiver. You will have to rtm.

In some situations you can also internally decode the HD audio in the player and transmit over analog to your avr but I know the hd-a2 won't and I don't think the ps3 will either.

Alright finished my system I picked up two pair of FXi5s from Frys for $320 plus tax they were floor models in good shape. I canceled my order for the FXi A4s, they were on backorder anyway. :)
