Looking to upgrade my home theater with new equipment. I've decided to budget moderately (ie: under $5k for speakers and receiver), so I want to make sure my choices are sound. I'm looking at the following combination of speakers in a 14 x 18' room.

1. RTi A7 (2)
2. CSi A6
3. TC60i (2 rear ceiling surrounds)
4. TC65i (2 side surrounds)
5. DSW Pro 400 subwoofer.

My choices for a receiver are the Denon avr-3808ci or the avr-4308 ci.

Looking to find out if:

a. my choices are compatible.
b. my choices are not "overkill" for a room of this size.
c. anyone has other suggestions for a comparitively priced system.

The video portion of my setup will be done next year.....when more funds are available!

Welcome to Club Polk! I think you will have one slamming system when it is all together. I don't believe in "overkill", if you have the room & the money to do this, go for it!
