Just looking for some hook up ideas. This receiver is 130 watts per channel and can be bridged. I was thinking of of running the rti 12's with the receiver in bridged mode. Then running my center and surrounds with 2 Adcom 100 watt amps. I already have one Adcom gfa-545.

Another idea is running the center and surrounds with the receiver and getting a used 200 watt Adcom. The other way is a little cheaper because I only need to buy another 100 watt amp instead of a 200 watt.

Another idea is to use the Adcom(s) for the front sound stage and receiver for the surrounds ...

An Adcom rated at 100 WPC will more than likely have more real power than a 130 WPC rated receiver.

I don't believe you can bridge that receiver. The 875 is bridgable, the 805 you can bi-amp.

Don't bridge the receiver, get a seperate amp.Btw-you don't add the wattage from the receiver and the amp together....if I read that right. The amp section in most receivers is mediocre at best. Why make it work harder?Use an amp for the front 3 speakers and let the receiver take care of the surrounds if you want to save on coinage.
