    Cool !

My cousin just came home from Iraq....I didnt know about the heart greeting...I just grabbed my crotch and gave a thumbs up :D
Then proceeded to drink large amounts of alcohol with him and the entire
family on Thanksgiving ( He has already now completed TWO full tours )

The message is great, but the sign language is kinda weird. I prefer just going up and shaking their hand or just saying "Hey, thanks for doing what you do. I appreciate it and wanted you to know that."

I agree...the heart sign is a bit too feminine for me.

I actually thought it was going to be a joke vid when the first scene was the woman on her knees as the solders approached....

Yeah if my cousin was still alive, I know for certain that he would have jacked me in the face if I had ever given him a heart sign.

Well I think if you have a relative or friend coming home and you give a impersonal handsign of thanks to him or her, I believe it's then justified to have been shot by him or her at this point.

But if in public I wish to thank people who I see in that are in the military and may say thanks to them, I feel odd about that and they must to also as few will say or do anything back. So next time I may just do the handsign thanks thing and see what the response is. ;)

    +10, Disneyjoe.

Like the message said, "It's not about politics".

    I like that heart sign.

Think it's too feminine ? Join a branch of the military for 4 years, than tell me the same thing after 4 years.

The handsign in and of itself is the only thing too feminine looking for myself and every one of my friends I asked...who by the way are either ex marines or army or navy ( On my shift at work ....out of 17 guys and one woman...9 are ex fast attack and boomer Sub navy guys and 3 are ex marines...and the WOMAN is ex army ) I know for a fact every one of them would laugh if asked to do the heart thing to a solder...they do what I do...in the voice they tell me doesnt need a telephone for a long distance call...just tell them they are doing a hell of a job.

If you like the heart thingy...more power to you...there is nothing wrong with it...its just not for me or apparently any of the grunts I know.

I have to agree that the sign language might be a bit awkward..especially for men. A woman probably thought this up. It's still a very nice idea though.
