I know I have mentioned how well recorded a few songs on this album are, but I'm here to say that the entire album is amazing. Even if you don't really like her, you have to credit her voice and the way this album was recorded. Give it a try.

There is no such thing as a non-yelling woman...it's in their DNA.

No, there isn't a lot of yelling. It's supposed to be a love album, I think. There are a lot of soft jazzy songs. It's good stuff.

I believe there can be yelling in love. My wife tells me she loves me and still yells at me from time to time.:p:D

I guess you could say she raises her voice a bit in Makes Me Wanna Pray .

So you're saying a pop artist actually produced an album where they made it a point to pay attention to the quality of the recording?

I may have to check this out. When she's not getting all stupid with rappers and such, Christina has a beautiful voice. I think she did a performance on the Oscars or Grammys last year with some guy on the piano. She got all glammed up and put on a helluva performance.
    No excuses!

There is no genuine justice in any scheme of feeding and coddling the loafer whose only ponderable energies are devoted wholly to reproduction. Nine-tenths of the rights he bellows for are really privileges and he does nothing to deserve them. We not only acquired a vast population of morons, we have inculcated all morons, old or young, with the doctrine that the decent and industrious people of the country are bound to support them for all time.-Menkin

As well recorded, and as amazing as the song "Nasty Naughty Boy" is, it's hard to listen to it in mixed company.

yeah... if u like Christina Aguilera, there is a compilation series you should check out called "Euro Club Hits" --

it's pretty clear that dance music is coming back around the world -- just check the recent big American hip-hop and R&B hits which are clear rip-offs of the european dance style.....

here's the direct iTunes link to the "Euro Club Hits" series.....

I picked it up and as much of a fantastic singer she is, I kept feeling like she was trying to force supporting the roots of Jazz, swing and older music. Adding in the rap/pop thing I didn't care for. I would have loved to hear her do a Jazz Album like Norah Jones type stuff as this tried to add some of that feel in but I felt it was done poorly.

I'm sure many will like it, it's recorded well which is rare and her voice is like I already stated fantastic. I had a hard time liking one song. I don't listen to it anymore.

    I tried,

I picked this up as soon as this thread was started.

I liked it for the most part. It seems to be decently recorded. Defiantly not the best but very well recored given where its coming from. I would never expect a pop or rap artist to have a well recorded CD. It was very surprising to say the least.

This is a very hot CD IMO also. It has a ton of gain. Doesn't take much volume to get the spl's jumping.:D

It does get some play from time to time. But I have to be in a certain mood.

If you can handle the pop side of it I would highly recommend it to any one.
