i bought a two channel amp for my momo...but relized that the sub could take more power. it puts out 150 rms x 2 @ 4 ohms stereo, 210 rms x 2 @ 2 ohms stereo, and 420 rms x 1 @ 4 ohms mono. could i hook this up to my ex396s, or will it just cook them. i am pretty sure i can, but want another voice before installation.
thanks

well dude.. 420 x 1 into one momo is like "perfect" basically... the 10's a 400w and hte 12 a 500w... i've dumped up to 650 into a 12, but really 420 is fine.
as far as putting 150 x 2 onto two exIII 6x9's... good luck... here's an idea... get a pack of Marlboro's and have a smoke with your speakers... lol.
dude I tried to put 120 on my EX series II and they just died... i mean flat out dropped dead.
However, i must say this... my DB series 6x9's took a TON of power, and my DX 6x9's as well as my DX components take a healthy 140+ without breaking up... i've got two 180x1 amps on my fronts and a 100 x 2 on my rears...
I think if you crank the gains way back, you can use that amp on the 6x9's.... aim for giving them 100 x 2... they'll take that.. the ex III is a better line than the ex II was. but dont try to dump the full power of hte amp into them, they'll bake like grandma's turkey this comin holiday. The Artist formerly known as PoweredByDodge
