Any of you guys have any experience with one of these? I bought one today on ebay for 180 bucks. It's an HDMI to Component converter that supposedly gives awesome upconversion results for those that have component only tv's. Since my Mits 65" RPHDTV doesn't have HDMI, I can't get the benefit of std dvd upconversion to 1080i from my Toshiba XA2 DVD player (yeah I'm still pissed about HD DVD).
I've burned copies of a couple of DVD's using DVD Decryptor and DVD Shrink, but from what I've read there's still a bit of compression. Once burned they do upconvert to 1080i, but I'm still concerned about compression.
Anyway, if you guys have any first hand experience with this product I'd appreciate it.
Cheers!
