I have been day trading for several years now and my, 2007 was tough. The change on wall street and how the nyse switched to computerized transactions rather then having specialist on the floor made it like nasdaq. Are there any day traders or stock market affiliate people on this forum? Good thing I have a real job, else getting hammered the past 7 months! I am keeping watch out for the visa credit card company to come out with its IPO. Any input?

So what are you going to be selling?
There is no genuine justice in any scheme of feeding and coddling the loafer whose only ponderable energies are devoted wholly to reproduction. Nine-tenths of the rights he bellows for are really privileges and he does nothing to deserve them. We not only acquired a vast population of morons, we have inculcated all morons, old or young, with the doctrine that the decent and industrious people of the country are bound to support them for all time.-Menkin

I wish I could be selling. Unfortunately, the company I go through discourages holding stocks overnight, else I would be shorting petroleum. Was wondering if there are other traders out there and how they are doing in this crazy market.

I'm in finance, but since I'm on the data side, I can't invest in the companies that I research, which are the companies that I actually know...sucks.

Used to day trade currency, still would, but need the health insurance more. Can't really say one way or another unless I knew exactly what you are into and on what platform.
I have found the currency market to have better swings and more predictable without haveing to loose your shirt when you come on the wrong side of the swing.
